The Tapia List

This is my constantly updated list inspired by the late Johnny Tapia who was one of the most entertaining and exciting athletes ever to grace the sport of Boxing. This is my top 5 most notable exciting Boxers in the sport right now that brought people to there feet and electrified.

1. Carl "The Cobra" Froch- Rebounding off his last fight, losing to Andre Ward in the Super Six Boxing classic. Last month in his native town of Nottingham England, Froch smashed the undefeated at the time Lucian Bute in his normal style of do or die. 
2. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez- The young stud just keeps doing it. Once again on the under card of Mayweather-Cotto Alvarez dominated another fight beating the future Hall of Famer Shane Mosley on an easy decision.
3. Leo Santa Cruz- So you thought you had an endurance? How about throwing over 1,300 punches in a fight? One person that we know can do that is Cruz, in his bout June 2nd against Vusi Malinga Cruz threw 1,350 punches and landed almost half of them. 
4. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao- Manny has always been exciting his whole career. Although he may be getting older and losing a little flare he can still bring anyone to there feet.
5. Josesito Lopez- With all odds against Lopez on June 23rd against Victor Ortiz, Lopez moved the whole Boxing world. As the heavy under dog Lopez battled his way to a 9th round tko thrilling the Los Angeles Staples Center crowd and the Boxing world.
